The development of long awaited Local Pinger has been completed. We are still extensively testing the new software, but so far it has shown to be performing quite perfectly.
You can now monitor computers/server on your local network whose ports are not exposed to the internet. The Local Pinger is installed on any of the computer on the local network which has at least a limited internet access. This tool monitors the hosts of your choice and reports the results back to our central server. Our server parses the results and sends appropriate notifications to your contacts.
The host setup is done the same way as with our regular pinging system (through our website). The only difference is that a local group has to be created instead of a global one and then the Local Id has to be copied from the website into the Local Pinger’s configuration window.
To find out how to setup Local Pinger software please read the manual located in your control panel.
